Was interesting going – hit the deck twice during our ride; can a 37 yr old get free hip replacement on NHS?
Clubbiedean – Poets glen farm track was a choice between ragged ice or cloddy-gluey mud from the adjacent field… Great to be out, even so…

After I nearly went on my hoop walking to the shop yesterday then decided to give the offroad a miss. It's melted where it's been soft snow or where cleared but anything trampled is a sheet or wet ice.

Went out on the road today – Livingston – Harburn – A70 – Kirknewton – Midcalder. All fine, though slightly bizarre riding a bike through walls of snow where it had obviously been drifting onto the road. I'm guessing there was a lot of snow on the Lang Wang until very recently. Harperigg is starting to melt and the Pentlands just look scabby.

3rd time out this year and boy did I feel it. Back to commuting tomorrow.
