    Sold something (low value but heavy and big).

    It was sold as a collection only and the buyer has paid.

    However they aren’t replying to emails to arrange collection and I need it out of the way (it’s been 10 days since the auction ended).

    So – how long do I give them before binning it and saying ‘tough, too late’?

    Just email the buyer a deadline giving him a set point at which you will dispose of his property. Say, another few weeks?

    There is a contact request feature in Ebay to allow you to retrieve a phone number. Use that.

    Give them 5 days or so, then refund and relist.

    beware if they paid by paypal & collect – as there is no proof that you have delivered the goods & paypal may refund the payment if a dispute is opened

    I would never accepted PP for items that got collected. Have had to refund PP payments and explain to buyers why, but it just removes any risk of being ripped off.
