    mate has just trashed his old mavic 729 (1400gr) rear wheel by being a dick (bunny hoping a path, coming up short and landing the rear right on the kerb stone edge "i could clear that mon my FS" "no you couldn't…. just the FS allowed you to be a dick and get away with it") and is looking for something new.

    have come across the eastons. at 1900gr-ish for the pair they seem light for a burly wheel.

    any user reports? do they bend in half?

    Yah.

    Well for the xc1s anyway. Mine get a hard life and don't grumble. In comparison my hope/4.2d combo on the other bike got dinged twice (2 rims £140). Don't pay anywhere near rrp tho. They're always on special and are good vfm IMO. Dunno about bearings etc. Sorry for abbevs. On my phone.
