    Anyone gone beyond the cheaper ways to mount and used one of these:

    They do work but the p7 torches are quite heavy to
    helmet mount!

    it works really well with my 18650 Solarforce/XPG torch – though I think that may be a bit lighter than a P7

    this is what I did, works well

    mounted my Tesco 3w torch with the joystick helmet mount and a bit of leky tape to pad it out a bit. works well and very easy to adjust on the fly. looks proper too.
