My Lovefilm list is somewhat lacking so I’m looking for ideas. Thrillers, comedy, foreign language, documentaries all welcome. Not horror or ‘boys’ sci-fi (missus not too fussed about sci-fi). Here’s some things I’ve seen that I’ve enjoyed.

    King’s Speech
    Last King of Scotland
    Lives of Others
    Any Bourne film
    Riding Giants (surf not pr0n)
    Man on Wire
    In Bruges
    21
    The Kite Runner
    Day of the Jackal (original)
    Hangover

    22 Bullets
Let The Right One In (Scandinavian, recently remade as ‘Let Me In’)
Nikita (French, remade several years ago as ‘Assassin’)
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

someone has to say it: Blade Runner

The Damned United, whether you’re a fan or a hater of “dirty Leeds”

+1 Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and also the second one in the trilogy; I haven’t seen the third one yet. Please don’t wait for the Hollywood remakes

also, some of the old classics are, quite rightly, classic.

    eg.
    Casablanca
    Bridge On The River Kwai
    pretty much any Hitchcock
    Breakfast At Tiffany’s

The Matrix (but neither of the sequels)
    Point Break (yes, really)
    Kelly’s Heroes
The Dambusters/633 Squadron/Battle Of Britain, “lest we forget”
