    To the OP.

So apart from frolicking or orgies perhaps you could:

    1) Learn to cook their food (I bet they taste good).
    2) Sell them more UK made products. (not only your company's)
    3) Watch modern slavery in process and understand how privilege you are.
    4) Help release a few slaves (so long as you are not in danger).
    5) Travel to neighbouring country(s) and sell more UK made products while frolicking (again so long as you are not in danger).
    6) Understand the locals (if you meet any) and their views on the West.

So apart from that I guess there is not much you can do really.

I went there 4 years ago.

It was a prize that I won at work (no, I am not in sales, I am a boring Credit Risk Manager).

I really enjoyed it as it was a massive jolly in return for a year's really hard work.

However, when I was out there you could tell that something was not quite right. I remember talking to some of the staff in the hotel that we were staying in and deep down they were really sad, but had to try and smile all of the time.

All that glitters is not gold is the phrase that springs to my mind.

Since going out there I have read horror stories about the country and I also took the time to read the link by Dr J above and I will not be going back out there again.
