Have just taken delivery of a new Spesh Epic only to find its almost immediately being recalled because of a problem on the rear triangle. 🙁

However, to load into car requires removal of wheels, and I just cannot figure out how the weird DT QR works. There is a push button which allows you to rotate the lever but not much else happens – how on earth do you release the wheel ? Drawn a blank on the DT website, and no instructions with the bike.

Sure its obvious and am prepared to be embarrassed.

pull the handle towards you and away from the fork leg when it stops it engages on the shaft, now turn it anticlockwise and it should undo 😯

righty tighty lefty loosey – you just rotate the lever like a spanner – it tightens by twisting – I presume you mean you have the RWS:

    or

They sometimes are on pretty tight – just spray with lube and then tap gently the right way to loosen with a rubber hammer 🙂

but the button does not press or move it is the lever sliding to the top of the red thingy (not a button :-))that then locks the lever to the shaft that then lets you turn it, by turning it against the fork leg you are going to rub off all your paint
