Always stuck up for them when others have said that they are soft, and have used them for a while but badly dented the back rim today on a root while just pootling along, so what is an good alternative? used to use Mavic 721’s but prefer the weight of the dt’s so whats in the same weight range but a bit stronger? (14-14.5st kitted up).

    MTFU and use 721s
oh, and if you are denting them pootling over roots you might want to try slightly higher tyre pressures?

..or you could try Sunn singletracks, still softer than 721s but lighter and way better than 5.1s

Alex also do a rim that fits your criteria

Well judging by their current price…i would look elsewhere, mavic 521 or similar would be a good bet i reckon, don’t look so ‘rad’ but phac it, obviously flash wheels are so 08, keep it a secret…..

719s, mine have been running fine for a few years now, and I’m a fair bit heavier than you.
