Been recommended groove essentials and would like an opinion or two if ya have ’em.
I’m just starting out and can’t afford a drum teacher just now.
Been working on various rudiments and some breaks like basic rock and the amen…
Is this a good dvd to go for?

Look out for Mike Dolbear books/DVD’s. He’s a great teacher (or was when i was a kid) and has a prolific drum presence online.

Rhythm And Fills by Mike Dolbear …is the book i meant.

He used to do more of them, but his site is still a great resource.

    why you selling…?

Did you see this, and think… “It’s drumming, and being any good is gonna be quite hard?”

How can you tell when it’s a drummer at the door?
He doesn’t know when to come in.

    Sorry.

playing drums isn’t hard but being a world class professional one is, just like we can all ride bikes but very few of us are world class professionals.

    I’m selling my:
    arbiter AT 7 pc kit
    arbiter AT snare
mapix Orion 3 pc kit (24″ bass)
premier seat, hh stand & 2x boom stand
    hardcase snare / b pedal, 13″ tom, 16″ tom & 24″ bass cases
    LP bongos
tama iron cobra bass pedal case
probably a few other things too.

I used to be in two bands but I’ve not played in 3 years so it makes sense to flog all my stuff except for a spare snare & all my cymbals.

The Jojo Mayer DVD ‘secret weapons for the modern drummer’ is pretty good if you stay with it, will improve your technique massively.

Podge, is your Iron Cobra pedal double or single?

my pedal is double, my case is single. im only selling the case, the pedal was a present.
