  • Does rebound affect compression damping?

I assumed not but today when I had my RP2 rear shock apart and all of the air out I tried compressing it by hand. I noticed that turning the rebound damping to fully open makes it quite a bit easier to compress. Is this normal, and if so, why? (if not.. has some valve in my shock blown?)
