Might be going to have a look at these wheels tomorrow, but the price doesn't seem right!

"front wheel is an mavic 321 disc dt swiss spokes pro two hub front cost £170
back is an mavic 321 disc dt swiss spokes with dt swiss hugi 240 hub back cost £350 no dents wheels are still straight"

    Selling both for £60!
He doesn't use them any more and using the money to save up for car.

So, do i buy them or report to police?

Go and have a look, get a feel for it. You will know within minutes if it's dodgy.

    Keep us posted.

£60 sale is very, very low. I reckon you'd get 2-3 times that on the classifides fairly quickly. Those 240 hubs are expensive!

I'd be slightly suspicious myself, but if you're picking them up you can always sound the seller out….?

Ask him what bikes he's had and what bike they were on. try a little bike geek talk, if they're not a biker then they will prob wont be able to hold a conversation for long.
See if they've got any other bikes / bike parts lying around.
If they are clueless or cagey, walk away.
Perhaps have a word with plod if they strike you as really iffy.
