    …Serious Acquisitive Crime Unit…

What’s worng with the word “Theft”?

No wonder the Rozzers can’t catch Scrotes on stolen Tri’ bikes, they’re too busy leafing through the thesaurus renaming everything…

I think I’d be taking pointers from Scorsese’s Casino when dealing out the justice on this one. ****

The photographer took her phone out of her pocket, put the camera in and take a picture.
Why did the photographer not launch onto him hence causing the thief to fall onto the ground?

He wont get far – stands out like a sore thumb.
He’s not fat or middle aged enough to be riding a bike like that.

£2000 bike? The wheels are probably worth that! Glad he’s been caught – wonder what the sentence will be?

Out of interest, does the value of the item stolen have an influence on the sentence given? I appreciate that a million pound diamond robbery may well be taken more seriously than bike theft, but given that a “good” bike can have the same value as a family hatchback, would the theft of a bike like this carry the same punishment as nicking a car say?

Sorry, rambled on a bit there!
