Time has come to eventually change out the bb92 that’s gradually getting worse… being tight don’t want to fork out of a fancy press to do the job. especially as the standard will change a bit will be obsolete in 2 months! Know about using threaded bar and a few bits of plate/large washers – any other solutions?

1. **** out with drift.

2. Vice using old bearings (1 side at a time, mind)

3. Bosh… as they say.

don’t be a tightwad and get a Cyclus press. Just worth it.

Which also comes with installation cups and used them with some threaded bar, nuts and washers from B&Q.

Copper tube (22mm) cut some slots in the end works just aswell as the park tool for removal.

Then some m10 (or whatever) stud and some penny washers (or bits of wood with a hole in to press the new bb into the frame.

Can also just use a vice if needed (the actual shimano instructions show a vice method for install)

For £38 you can’t beat this. Comes with many of the size presses you’d want.

Not tight, just less money on repairs more funds for getting to new trails! Never thought about using the vice. Probs work well.
