Having looked at the usual suspect’s websites the current situation appears to be that mapping software is not available to work with a mac however, there are software simulation ways around this.

Does anyone know of any mac specific UK mapping or have first hand experience of adapting a windows system.

Could you also let me know what make and model of GPS you have used ?

    Thanks in advance.

I use Tracklogs under VMWare Fusion – works for me.

As for Mac specific programs, there's the HikeTech stuff which is basic GPS download and scanned maps. There's also RouteBuddy which has proper OS mapping, but it seems expensive and I wasn't impressed with the tool available for route planning.
