    Morning all

I’ve been trying to use my phone to record my lectures but it doesn’t do a very good job and the quality is poor.

Coukd someone point me in the right direction of a decent dictaphone please?

Just use your finger like everyone else.

    Look, I’m sorry.
It was bound to happen sooner or later.

I used to use an Olympus DS-40, it had internal storage and took 2xAAA batteries. It came with a tiny stereo mic or could use the internal mono mic. It had three sensitivity settings which meant it could be adapted for dictation or lecture recording and did a pretty good job on all of them, including recording a couple of gigs. Great little device and relatively easy to transfer files to the computer via USB.

There’s one on eBay for £30 (not mine):
