Can anyone recommend a diagnostic reader primarily for use on my 62 reg Isuzu D-Max?

Had the engine management light come on this morning and would like something to give me the fault code so I know what i’m dealing with.

Quick Google brings up a vast range of readers at a wide range of prices and i’m not sure what I should go for.

    Cheers

I got a cheap orange cabled one from the bay I think they are less than a tenner now. I have also got torque pro app on my phone with a bluetooth reader which shows live info. About £20 total both give and clear codes with the app giving live info on throttle position and revs etc.

unless you buy the manufacturer specific lead, and the program for your laptop then they’re all pretty similar.

£10 off ebay/ amazon should do.
