   Was thinking of going up north for a few days to visit family but as I cant find anywhere to ride I might not bother.
   I havent been up there for almost 10 years, so can anyone do my mum a favour and suggest some proper DH ride spots? Im looking for something similar to PORC, Aston Hill, Cwmcarn etc.

   Anywhere within an hours drive of Stockport/Ashton-U-Lyne would be great.

   Warnecliffe nr Sheffield? - plenty short tracks ranging from fast and easy to slow and techy with quite a few jumps/drops for good measure and an easy push

   quite a few tracks in N Wales/Sghropshire (and some uplifts) if you don't mind driving a bit further
