Two closed down, anymore. Any that are worth visiting?

There is one at the end of the stone humpback bridge but its just too fausty and weird.

    There’s one at each end.
The Hole In The Wall has gone a bit funny, but the White Swan’s ok. Busy, pleasant, cheap food.
Railway, on the main road is a friendly, unpretentious boozer.

Fox & Goose at the bottom of Heptonstall Road is nice for real ale and has an elevated beer garden.

Shoulder of Mutton (in the square) is a bit bland and expensive, the White Lion is really a food pub and the Albert (on Albert Street) is expensive, unfriendly and usually empty.

Stubbins Wharf (Toward Tod, just past the turning circle) is nice.
Good food an you can sit by the canal.

Trades Club is the one of the nicest places for a beer in Hebden, although I don’t think it’s your kind of thing, tbh 😀

Stubbins is always our post ride pub of choice, cracking selection of ales and great food. Also water…

    Closed down and boarded up.

    Shoulder of Mutton

Had some feckless looking smoking-types outside so decided to avoid. Pity as it looks a nice pub.

Justin who who had the Hole in the Wall now has a pub here, Alnwick, it’s quirky but serves damn good ales.

Hora you div, 90% of Hebden is composed of ‘feckless smoking types’. 🙂
    It’s what makes it great.

More to the point, without them the whole place would probably have been bulldozed to make way for a Supermarket in the 70’s.

Pity as it looks a nice pub.

    It isn’t.
That’s not fair, it’s ok, just a bit bland.

Best hang on ’till you get back to South Manchester – no weirdo’s there, no siree……….. 😀

I’m from Moston hora – it makes Stretford look like a kiddies playgroup. 😀

Went to The Parlour in Chorlton a couple of weeks ago for a meal – quite nice, but Beech Road’s still up itself to an unbelievable extent.

I used to drive through Moston to get to work every day. 😆

Last weekend apparently they had a meditation tent on the green in Beech road. Jesus wept.

Seriously, we should just seal Chorlton off and let them starve –
    we could film it:

‘Middle Class Trustafarian Tossfest Zombie Apocalypse’.
    I’d pay to watch it…… 😉

We used to go to a sandwich shop in Moston that ALWAYS had blue bottle flies in and around the cold meet counter/food.

One thing – is it always biased towards food tables?

Thats one thing thats annoying me more and more about certain pubs- food/reserved food tables. I know its probably diversified into food more due to ciggies etc but food is in part ruining boozers.

OX in central Manc is another good example of this. Food is ok in both- but its fried food hardly gastro!
