Afternoon all…. Got my first drop bar cx bike for my commute and love it (genesis croix de fer 30). It’s a bit sloppy at the moment so should probably get some mudguards. I know absolutely nothing about road/cx guards.

The bike has hydro discs and there are mounts on the frame for guards. The tyres are currently 35 mm but would like 40 mm wide guards if possible.

I don’t mind paying more for something tough (and light weight not that that’s my primary concern).

What do you guys / girls recommend…. (pictures welcomed)

I have a Genesis Day One Disc that I commute on, and have just recently fitted a set of M:Part guards courtesy of my LBS, had to redrill a hole to attach to rear as no rear brake mount, however they are superb and not had a wet or muddy arse on the commute yet, (they even fit over the disc mounts) tyres are 35mm so i went for the 42 or 45mm (i cant remember which)
