Hi I have a 2 metre cable for securing wheels with. It returns to a coiled state when left. Can I do anything to decoil it so it is easier to thread through the wheels IE So it loses it's 'memory' (or default coiled state) It has a plastic coating in on it.

Not sure if it's the actual cable or plastic covering which has the coil memory.

    Cheers.

It's most likely gonna be the sheathing. Bit like on a telephone. You could try stripping it then putting something else on it – like the stocking type stuff used for bundles of network cables, or something similar. It's probably set in a coil by heat, but if you try heating it to uncoil it'll probably **** it anyway.

    Merry Christmas.

It is a cheap lock – buy another one that isn't coiled.

When do you need it? Hang it from the ceiling with a weight on the end and leave for ages.

You'll never do it. It will be "curled" during the manufacturing process
