Staying in cornwall next week .. up near bude ,dont mind driving a bit , is there any routes near okehampton side of dartmoor ?

There is some stuff to be had around Sourton tor and around Peter/Mary Tavy. It's OK and certainly worth a look at. Another 25 mins down the road gets you to Princetown/Burrator where there is much better riding to be had. However, if you're travelling all that way, you really ought to head for east Dartmoor and ride the steep, technical, bouldery stuff around Hound tor, Manaton and the Bovey Valley.
