    What are the thoughts for an upgrade from an Aksum disc wheelset?

    General road use, not racing, under £500.

    Depends what you want to spend…

    Just about to build myself up some very nice 32H disc hubs on some tubeless road rims (probably Stans Alpha 400), should be sub 1600g when finished…

    handbuilt – Archetype or Pacenti SL25 on hub of choice; Hope, Shimano, Novatec. Tune hubs a bit beyond the budget. I run Archetypes on Hope on the commuter and Archetypes on Tune on the best roadie.

    Factory sets appear to be either lower end like the Kinesis/Aksiums or top end like Vision/Roval/Zipp
