    Looking at a new chainset and all seem to be about 10spd
    Can I run a 10spd chainset on my existing 9spd set up?

    I am running a 10spd Chorus chainset and 9spd veloce/centaur bits.

    Works the other way round.
    I have one 8sp and one 9sp ring with a 10sp chain and cassette.
    You should be fine.
