As far as I can tell the spokes are all tight enough, there's no play in the bearings, yet as I ride along, particularly when freewheeling, and especially right after rear wheel breaking, there's this god-awful creaking-clunking-groaning thing. It sort of sounds-feels like the wheel's gonna collapse, yet it hasn't, despite some enthusiastic bunny hopping off kerbs*.

    So, what gives?

    (hopefully nothin') 🙂

This happened to my rear wheel, and although it didn't collapse i found out that the rim had split so needed replaced

    Have you had them long??

Thems is not too old really… on a secondhand Jake that I've been riding for a month, and which had probably done no more than 200 miles with the owner before me.

I'll give the rims a good check over though tomorrow!
