I am riding a XTR M970 crankset and want to change the set up for a Shimano type bash ring with a 34T or 36T middle.I have fitted the bash ring after modification .What 34/36 middle can i use ?

It’s the same fitting as current XT so any 4 bolt 104mm BCD ring will work. There will be quite a lot of choice.

Might find running a 36 with the standard 22 would be a big jump. I’m running a 24t with a middleburn 36 on mine with a straitline bash. Take care with the inners though as the XTR ones are a bit funny with spacers. I got an XTR 960 from CRC which does the trick nicely.

22/36 has worked fine for me. Wiggle may still sell TA ones which are good and I hear they last a long time (mine are pretty new).
