    anyone running or ran iodine’s ?

    reports of hub and pawl failure leave me ‘concerned’…….

    They’ve got Crank Bros written on it so they WILL fail/fall apart.
    Way before they should do.

    I bought a pair of Iodines in April 2010. The pawl carrier failed in October during an icy, pish-wet day at Afan. Luckily(!) for me, I was already three-quarters of the way round the W2, meaning there wasn’t so much pushing to do back to the car park. I was ever so slightly annoyed…

    The pawl carrier and freewheel were replaced under warranty with updated versions, but it’s too early to say if they’re more robust then the originals.

    @ cynic-al i already have a few pairs of handbuilts on king hubs and 819’s / 5.1’s and crests….

    wanted something a bit different for my next project…..
