    Looks like it. Are you talking about the outer shell or the actual display (ie, does the display still work)?

    (E71 and E72 seem to be physically similar)

    Actually, being a bit of a clumsy oaf with things like this, does anyone know if there's a place where you can get these things fixed while you wait? Is it worth returning to shop (vodafone) or am I likely to encounter a sucking in through teeth and a big bill?

    There are high street places that do phone repairs, even iPhones. My old 3G had damage around the headphone socket so I went to a place in Bath who said they could fix screens, but the backs were a lot more complicated, so it might be worth doing a google search around your local area, I'm sure you'll find something nearby.
