Considering getting one of these and building up with 100mm forks. Any feedback on how it climbs? I know it descends and handles well . . .

    Thanks!

Well as 29ers climb better except when steep, loose and slow, I imagine it will be a little better than a 26 Soul. All depends how you like your eggs though.

As well as it descends I suppose. I love mine up and down – feels very lively either way. Well, as lively as it’s rider.

Reviews say its very similar to the last generation 26 version, which climbs well, esp with a 100mm fork. I’d suggest you’ll miss out a bit of the fun on the descents unless on a 120 fork, which is reckoned by most to be the optimum.

I have a 26 with 120 Reba solo air and it climbs well, though not as well as my Anthem SX 😀

I suspect it’ll feel nigh on identical to the 26″. But sshhhh, don’t let the bike companies hear you say that, what would their shareholders think…
