This talk is so good I’ve watched it 2 and a half times.
It obviously won’t be for everyone.
It’s a great explanation as to why the world is so messed up, and how we could straighten it out

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it – Aristotle

That quote should be a sticky on this forum.

EDIT haven’t watched beyond the first five minutes, but will do later when I’ve time.

    a) he badly needs a script (so that he can stop repeating everything he says twice)

    b) I’m 15 mins in and he’s not actually got to his subject yet, all he’s doing is setting a structure around how his material is “allowed” to be viewed. He’s just told me that if I’m sceptical I won’t get anything from it. Which says something about how good he thinks his case is I suppose 😆

    c) he needs to stop shouting

So, to recap, we are the offspring of a genetically engineered version of early hominids bred for manual labour because (although they could travel across vast tracts of space) a group of space-farer “parents” (remember the abandonment issues?) hadn’t figured out a decent way of large scale mining with machinery… (isn’t that the plot of a particularly bad L Ron Hubbard book?)

    Yep, seems credible so far…

Not only can they do space flight but not mining they can’t make paper but can Jerry rig batteries using papyrus storeage jars? I assume Eric von Danekin’s estate will be suing .

I love the certainties a closed mind gives me.

Is that intended to invalidate the previous quote?

Nope, it just reminds us that Aristotle wasn’t an ancient purveyor of “truth”.

No, but he was a bugger for the bottle, though…
