My PC has just stopped reading one of my 8g Micro SD HC card, cannot format it (using XP).

Is there another way or software option that can recover corrupted cards?

btw, the other identical card I have works fine so I know its not down to a pc setup problem.

    Cheers.

Try formatting it in the phone or using a camera via an SD card adapter. Sometimes they fail completely, though it's rare.

Thanks Flaperon, tried that one too, the phone shows a blank when I put it in?

Try this, it worked for me when my 8Gb card crapped out on me. Once I'd got the photos back I was able to format it in the camera and it's working fine now.

Your partition table it probably corrupt. Use an ubuntu live cd to create a new one using a program called 'gparted' and than reformat.

This is another program that may help
