friend of mine desperately needs to email some audio files. currently they are in .wma format, from around 25kb +

can you recomend a compressor which will reduce their size, and yet enable the recipient to play the files on windows media player or such-like.

    thanks

I think you can specify what quality of mp3 you want in iTunes, and it certainly converts other formats to mp3.

You can't compress them as such, they're already compressed. You'll need to reduce the quality (and therefore the size). Do you have access to the original?

    thanks bikewhisper… was looking for a recommendation… 😉

yep, have access to the original… hmm, was hoping not to reduce quality too much… how do we do that?
    thanks

If you don't want to reduce quality then don't email them use YOUSENDIT or some such to send the files its free upto a certain file size.
