Any difference between the two? My camera takes both and I’ve 1gb versions of both, but fancy some more storage so are there any reasons to invest in one over the other? Thinking of getting a couple of 2gb cards to avoid corrupting a big card full of pics.

Got though 1gb of memory yesterday without really trying so think I need to figure this out one way or the other!

XD was a format created by Fuji and olympus as an alternative to SD. Despite both companies persevering with the format they’ve quietly started shifting over to the SD format. Compact flash is a long standing format and will be around for quite a while yet as it’s what is used on pro cameras. If you’re going to invest Compact would be the way to go.
