So if I want to do a spot of commuting on the Evil, but it has silly EX325 rims which are super wide, what is the skinniest, most efficient tyre I can get on there? Can't decide if I want some sensible tyres or some altogether un-sensible Hookworms…

    Advice? Cheers.

Do mean efficient as in super-speedy, low rolling resistance, or efficient as in not fixing a puncture every couple of days?

Get some Schwable Big Apples on there, at a 2.0" I reckon. Super comfy and surprisingly fast.

Tough, punture proof, fast rolling, all weather, fit and forget. Slightly heavy, bit more expensive but worth it. I put one on the back as this is where I used to get the most punctures, but F and R would be fine. Do half tarmac, half canal towpath and roll through potholes, mud, gravel, you name it with no problems. Last ages as well.

I got a pair of Continental Travel Contact HERE

Low rolling, but with some grip in the corners. Tough as nails. 1 year no puncture guarantee and come with free inner tubes.

Pair for £37 posted from Merlin.

I have nothing bad to say
