Got back from my weekend at Ceod y Brenin yesterday. My first visit as there is a lot more closer to where I live. Really enjoyed it. Rode dragons back (I fannied out of riding a black diamond as I had to drive the 5 hours home the next day and have a baby due on 2 weeks). An awful lot of fire road which seemed character building at first but slowly turned into soul destroying once the weather came in. The tea shop is a real oasis. Normally wouldn’t bother stopping that far into a ride but seemed rude not too as it was there. Good cake!
Adams family descent is a scream! Single track sections are nicely put together once you are in there but man, what a lot of fire road.
I stayed at Cae Gwyn Farm in the end. Ideal to ride to and from the trail centre, really good showers, nice and hot with good pressure. I could have stayed in there for an hour after the wet and windy ride around the woods we had. Nice people too, which makes it for me.
