  • X0 cranks with single ring?

    Afternoon all,

Quick question about running a 1x on a carbon xO crank?

    I’ve currently got a 2x set up on a carbon x0 crank.

I’m contemplating using it for a new build but want to go 1x with an eagle set up. I figure one of the main differences between gx eagle and the fancy one is the crank…

My cranks are pre-boost and the new frame will be a 148 back end..

Is there a chainring/spider combo I can buy that means the x0 crank will work fine with a 1×12 set up?

does the XO crank have the removeable spider – three bolts on the back and a spline fitting? Like this:

If so then you could either get a boost chainline spider + NW ring or I’d assume the direct mount chainring will have a boost version, which should be cheaper / lighter. It will just bolt on directly using the same bolts and spline.

Yep – a boost direct mount ring is the way to go, should suit an X0 crank.

Thanks, yes it does have the spline like that.

I’ll have a look for one of the boost direct mount rings then.

    Cheers

33% off today on superstar chainrings, they make a boost direct mount chainring
