    What should I use?

Whilst I've got my forks off for a service, thought I'd take the opportunity to clean and regrease the bearings in my CK headset. Looks easy enough according to the instructions (which suggest a generic solvent).

I use lots of GT85 and a toothbrush, though I guess any decent degreaser will do. Then rinse & clean with isopropyl alcohol & blow dry with compressed air. Repack with grease, new seals (if necessary), job done.

Meths, quick, cheap, effective. No residue left behind which could damage new grease.
