I’ve just spotted a 2mm wide paint chip in my beloved Ritchey Logic frame 🙁

I dont want to touch it in nor do I want to leave it. Is there anywhere that offers ‘smart’repairs for bike frame/finishes? I dont want to post it off to Argos but need someone NWest/WYorks etc

    Try Starley or Atlantic Boulevard

    2 whole, real, millimetres? 😆

Heel rub on my favourite frame has resulted in a 50mm section of bare chainstay, when I ride it the rust gets rubbed off 🙂

Find a car that has similar paint then buy a touch-up bottle from the local dealer.

Or use nail varnish. It shrinks down very thin on drying so you’ll need several applications, blobbed in carefully.

    Fit a “Hora” sticker: http://www.namesonframes.co.uk/

Or pop to halfords for paint touch up kit. Possibly a BMW or MG metallic grey off the top of my head.

I’m going to avoid the touch-up route and try and get it done professionally first.

Matching car paint touch up pen. Dab it on then t-cut it to blend it in while it is still a bit soft-after an hour or so, should blend in pretty invisible.

Just ride it. When it’s really bad then get it stripped and resprayed.

Take bike to Halfords, peruse the enormous paint collection and have them make up a small touch up kit in the desired shade.

    Or add a name sticker
    Or wait until respray needed
Or ask Ritchey if paint is available

Metallic is hard to match anyway.

Its your money but for the minimal size I’d just go the touch up route.

If you get a good colour match you will barely notice its even there.
You may find the S.M.A.R.T repair guys are not even interested as its such a minimal area.

I’d try to get hold of another of the red/white/blue band decals and stick that on.

Obviously you now have to sell the bike! 😡

You’ve not ridden a Logic then. It has both a sublime presence and ride.
