…why does she insist that the fridge is the best place for Chocolate to be stored ! She’s come home from work with a few nice boxes and they’ve gone straight in the fridge ! Myself and the 1st born pleaded with her not to commit a hideous chocolate crime…

    Its just wrong !

Where do you store your chocolate ?

Ps If we lived in a hot climate I may be more understanding

    In a cupboard. I want melt-in-the-mouth not break-a-crown-hardness.

Depends what it is, most dark and milk chocolate slab goes in the cupboard. Normal bars – Mars, Twix etc. go in the fridge.

Mix it up, variety is the spice of life etc.

Coldness stifles some of the flavour, needs to be room temp.

Chocolate? Store? Surely the answer is no storage, just eat and recycle packaging….

Not in the fridge, totally ruins the flavour of chocolate!

There is one chocolate that should NEVER EVER go in the fridge.

    Lindt Balls.

The centre should be soft and melt immediately on exposure within the mouth.

If it actually makes it to any kind of storage ..then in the fridge..(but not boxed chocolates)

    Like ice cream, innit

The joy is in the melting on your tongue.

So if it’s in the fridge it’s colder and has more “melting potential”…. call me Prof Cocks … Im yet to name the SI unit of “melting potential” … any ideas?

That’s nothing. My mother in law bought me some really nice cheese the other year. Wrapped it up and put it under the tree next to the log burner in their sitting room.

A week before the big day.

I discretely disposed of it before it was consumed.

This. Besides, in December my kitchen is probably colder than the fridge anyway.

Damn, just eaten one straight from the fridge (delicious it was too)… where all the other chocs are. I guess our place is unusual in that any chocs here will typically last for weeks or even months being gradually/slowly eaten.
