Been thinking about getting a xmas hamper (not hampster) and celebrate the end of the year with sheer indulgence.

Looked at Selfridges, F&M, etc but nothing seems vfm or even close. Is it better to make your own hampers?

Heard that waitrose xmas pudding was well regarded – but dont normally buy from here. Any thoughts?

Easy but not VFM. Pop to waitrose or some other fancy shop and buy some nice posh stuff. Nicely packaged but use the Hamper shops for ideas.

Does anyone know where to get any empty hamper basket, or even just a regular “open top” basket thingy?

Try your local farmshop or deli. Mine do great hampers, or summer event picnic baskets
