Hi all. I’ve just got a new car with an iPod USB socket instead of the usual headphone lead socket. Works great apart from when I use the controls on the car to scroll through the albums – if I choose an album to listen to it has all of the songs in alphabetical order rather than track order. Is there an easy way to add the track numbers to the start of each song title so I don’t get the problem? Obviously without clicking on each of the 5,500 songs and manually doing it……

It does make for interesting listening tho. Screamadelica has no flow at all in alphabetical track order…

My car is the same. Arcade Fire “Suburbs” ruined in the wrong order. Still – worth it for decent iPod hook-up…

Do you have a PC or MAC at home?
PC – I used Bulk Rename Utility a long time ago which worked well.

Any damage you experience as a result of using this software is your own risk etc etc.

You could also look at AF 5 Rename Your Files
It’s free, works really well and is fast.
