Guard dog can cover any dog really, as for trained, trained in what? agility, persuit what. Just because the dog is big doesn’t mean it’s a danger. Border terrier’s are vicious dog’s why do you think they are the badger baters choice. How many people on here have those with kids in the house. Simple solutuion is to ask the man in the know and that would be the owner of the dogs. If they are good with kids or a bit touchy he will tell you. After all he wouldn’t want to see your children hurt and his dogs destroyed would he. Asking the tenants isn’t the best thing, they could have a fear of dogs or no fear so could palm you off with anything really. Just talk to the owner, explain your concerns and if you are happy rent the house.
