If I’m reading this right, 11 speed cassette on a standard freehub with your existing 10s SRAM mech, just an 11-speed shifter needed?

SRAM’s new 11-36 cassette goes to eleven!

Obviously you don’t get the extra range, but if Spinal Tap taught us anything, it’s that 11 is considerably better than 10.

Never a truer word spoken in jest.

    Utterly pointless for MTB IMO.

    nope.

you’d still need an 11 speed mech, new wheels/freehub that can take the wider road 11 speed spacing and a shifter.

    So no, not cheap.

If I follow the article it’s saying that 10-speed mtb mechs work with 11-speed SRAM road, not 11-speed SRAM mtb. Similiar to 9-speed Shimano mtb on 10-speed Shimano road?

Does seem to be a way of getting most of the disadvantages of 11 speed and no benefits.

According to the blurb, it works with a SRAM 10s MTB Mech
