Quick one: I'm changing up my home LAN to something a bit more robust - basically from the ISP-provided modem/ router to separate modem/ switch/ wireless router. (If nothing else, the modem is crappy, so being able to isolate the network from its hissy fits is useful)
Coupla questions on it:
- I'm assuming it's a 3-box solution, in that order: modem goes into switch; switch runs both to hardwired network cabling and wireless router?
- Can you suggest a cheap but good enough switch? It's only really going to have to cope with half a dozen devices, over a mixture of wired/ wireless, possibly streaming video.
