Draper ones used to be good. You weren’t shopping for these in Edinburgh today?

I’ve used these professionally, very good. Probably cheaper from tool supplier

    These look the same:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heavy-Duty-Cutting-Pliers-7-175mm-Wire-Rope-Cable-Cutter-Plier-2271-/390516657920?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item5aec9b4f00

But different seller so can’t guarantee it’s the same quality. (I bought the cheap ones from a previous seller, and they’re way better than my Parks!)

I’ve got Draper ones. They were about £10. Cut cleanly

Ive bought a pair of these

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251142176137?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Initially I thought they were shite, but the bolt through the centre was loose. Tighten that up and they seem spot on, had no problems cutting jagwire brake and gear inner and outers.

How long they’ll stay sharp for, who knows?

They dont “feel” anywhere near as nice as park tools cutters though.

The Draper ones look similar to the X Tools pair I got from CRC (£15.99)about 3 years ago. Very impressed with them.

I ended up buying Park ones of Ebay.

but I Like the look of these Superstar ones.

    Superstar cutters

as they have a spiky thing to open up the outers after they have been cut.

If we are all getting or own tags can I have reads a lot writes a little.

Superstar ones are decent, not that long-lived though. They’re also better than my Parks.

I’ve got a pair of 18 yo shimano cutters. Cost £30 new, still think they were worth it.

    £6 from screwfix http://www.screwfix.com/p/cable-cutters-150mm-6/27403

Cut through inners and outers like butter and don’t break a sweat on chunky garage door cables, I know a few people with these and all recommend them.

I bought the screwfix one a couple weeks ago, even managed to cut through an old cable bike lock with relative ease (i’d lost the key).

    scarady – I think so.

I treid the screwfix ones when my 1988 Suntours broke. They were crap.

The Fat Spanner ones are the same as the cheaper ebay ones, as are the Pedros ones.
