I think I’ve asked this before but wasn’t convinced by the responses, so looking for some expertise.

I am thinking of upgrading my Campag Veloce 10 speed chainset to Chorus. Chorus is now only available as an 11 speed, so my question is, can I continue to run a 10 speed chain and front derailleur with a Chorus 11 speed chainset.

I understand that an 11 speed chain is probably narrower than a 10 speed chain, so I realise I’d have to retain the 10 speed chain for compatibility with the 10 speed cassette, but why would it matter about the front chainset?
