E13 and MRP reckon the direct mount bashguard is all theirs. Which it probably is, to be fair.

Can’t help thinking the time for this was before the arse fell out of the chainguide market with Narrow WIde.

so they’ve put out a mounting system that’s now widely used by a fair few companies and is the go to mount on frames..?

and just as less people are going to need chainguides due to narrow wide.. they’re cracking down on other companies making similar stuff so they get the lions share of the market?

    😉

to be fair we are only just seeing the first “how long did your nw chainring last” threads appear.

    Narrow/Wide Chain ring lifespan

praps E13 and MRP already know the answer

Seperate issue surely? I still wear out chainrings with a chain guide.

And you still (maybe) want a bash guard with a N/W chainring, although the top and bottom guides seem a bit superfluous now.
