Worth watching ? Good or Pish

    Thoughts .

Want to watch a film on BT Vision later.. but want a good one. Most films at the moment seem to be a bit pants.

I enjoyed watching my ancestors trash the invincible Romans…

I enjoyed the movie mainly for that reason.

Sounds good… but then again most of us are probably Roman 😉

It really was awful. Bad acting, rubbish story line.

It wasn’t even saved by the fact it was filmed on holmbury hill and I could say ‘been there!’ every few minutes.

Avoid like a case of hemaroids.

I’m also a bit worried about what they [the film industry] are going to do to my beloved The Eagle of the Ninth – possibly my fave book as a kid.

I love Roman fiction, and was really looking forward to this. It’s not as bad as The Forgotten Legion, but they seem to have tried to use gore to cover up a weak story and some wooly acting.

I wasn’t expecting much at all, and found it pretty entertaining if unremarkable. It’s flawed in many ways, not least the idea that anyone could be afraid of Olga Kurylenko (sp), but Michale Fasbinder is very watchable and it rattles along pretty quickly. One to watch with a few beers.

Pretty decent. Bit predictable. Some of it was filmed in the Surrey Hills too.

Only in the south according to DNA research. So you can cheer for the Romans 🙂

Yeah but the Romans were getting a flogging so that makes it good 🙂
