As title, anybody use these on their wheelset to run 6 bolt discs?. Any issues or perfectly safe?.

The Shimano and DT Swiss ones in my experience work well and are perfectly safe. Not tried any others

Are they brand specific or can I use any type of adapter to do the job?

I have the DT one on a DT hub = fit & forget.

I’ve been using a dt swiss one on my alfine. Running fine with no issues.

They are not brand specific with regard to the hubs, but I think there are some discs that don’t work well with any adaptors e.g. hope floating rotors as they are too thick

Use an Evans one to convert a Deore 6 bolt disc to an MT55 rear wheel. Works wheely well…
