  • Centrelock rotors on 20mm hubs for Avid calipers – what works?

    20mm bolt-through centrelock hubs.

I want to run Avid BB7s, so what rotors can I use for a 185mm up front? AFAIK those DT Swiss adaptors don’t work on 20mm hubs, and Shimanos rotors are 180mm.

When you say DT swiss adaptors, I assume you are meaning an adaptor which changes the rotor fitting from splinned to bolt on? I would email Shimano UK (madison?) about that. I thought shimano were selling an adaptor for that purpose aswell, maybe that would fit a 20mm bolt-thru, but I may be mistaken.

Your other solution might be to try sourcing an adaptor fot the Avids caliper to take a 203mm rotor, then you could get a Shimano splinned 203mm rotor.

Yes, I can run either 160 or 203 as the rotors are the same size, but not 185. I can try using the Shimano 180mm caliper adaptor with the Avids I guess?
