Thinking of heading up to ambleside this weekend, riding loughrigg, skelwith, grizedale and parkamoor, is the much snow/ice about or has it cleared?

Don't suppose anyone has details of the grizedale closure do they? Tried googling but not found anything of use.

    Hi Folks,

Riding based on Ambleside is in fantastic condition, we have had a week of blue skies and deep frosts, so the ground is solid and there is virtually no mud. As it hasn't rained in almost a month there is very little ice, only snow that has previously fallen and melted and 'leaked' onto tracks has frozen. There is no snow left below about 1800ft. Parts of Grizedale are off limits on Sat. However, there is more than enough open to make several days riding without covering the same ground twice. Andy@biketreks

Cheers for the info Andy, hopefully I'll be up there on sunday, re-riding old routes this time.
